I have been waiting for this movie (Bleach: Memories of Nobody) to be released at DVD; when I got hold of it, I was really excited and expect much out of this movie. After watching (it runs for 1 hour and 30 minutes), I was not disappointed. It has the elements of the series, yet it really fits the silver screen. With improved effects and color-enhancements (not to forget a beautiful ending song and background music) I was really impressed.
The storyline was not really well-thought of; a kinder student would easily get the plot and could tell how the story will end. But beyond that, there's something in the movie that made me love it; maybe seeing Ichigo fell in love for the first time did (I can't tell what he feels for Inoue or Rukia; I could even mistake Renji as his boyfriend). Senna (the shinenju or Memory Rosary) is quite annoying at times too.
The producers did not forget to include the battles between the shinigamis and the warriors of the "Dark Ones" (The origin of this clan and why they were banished from the Soul Society were not shown in the movie; the audience were just made to think that these bad guys really hate the Soul Society that they decided to smash the both worlds together. It's like the Bountos rehearse their cry against the atrocities made by the Sereitei.) They don't want to leave any detail behind the characters, they even had Byakuya save Rukia for 30 seconds. Almost all of the characters were included even though most of them appear in a glimpse.
Anyway, watching it made me look forward to the next movie to be released on December, The Diamond Dust Rebellion (I love seeing Tōshiro Hitsugaya in action).
